Too much wax and too many husbands

I should have done this last week, but I didn’t. So I’m just gonna cover 2 weeks of movies in one go. I’ll try to be quick about it.

Mad Money – I actually bought this at a gas station. Don’t think I’ve ever done that before. It’s an ok movie, not great. Dianne Keaton, as always, was great.

House of Wax – I like it when, in scary movies, they focus on siblings instead of couples. Like they also did in Jeepers Creepers. It’s not a great movie, but I liked it. It had it’s creepy moments.

Ice Age: The Meltdown – also know as Ice Age 2. Well, sometimes I do enjoy watching animation, but I’m never gonna be a big fan. I like people.

Pigen og Greven – The Girl and the Count. Old danish movie from the 60’s. I’ve watched this years ago, and oddly enough the scene I remembered best was the harvest scene, with lots of these big farming machines (I don’t know what they’re called, I’m a city girl). Of course, Dirch Passer was good.

Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle – I’ve actually never seen this before. I always expected it to be really silly. But I actually really enjoyed it, and I wanna see the next one now. I like being positively surprised.

The Perfect Man – I’m in love with the cakes in this movie. Not like I wanna eat them, they’re much too pretty for that. I just wanna look at them.

Georgia Rule- a movie about mothers and daughters. I liked it. I think Felicity Huffman is a really talented actress. And Lindsay Lohan sure did seem to wear a lot of white in this.

Sweet Home Alabama – great movie. I love it.

Quarantine – I really enjoyed this. This actually scared me a few times. And the ending was good. Good meaning – I liked it.

Wild Child – I’ve always had a weakness for boarding schools. I remember when I was like 11-12, I used to read tons of books about boarding schools. Most of the cast is good, but I do think Emma Roberts more gets parts for who she is, rather than her acting. Love the scene with Shirley Henderson in the car, and Poppy’s Mary Jane-shoes. Last movie from the late Natasha Richardson, who sadly died earlier this year.

Recount – usually I don’t really watch political movies, but I wanted to watched this because of the writer. I had to see the movie written by Jonathan from Buffy the Vampire Slayer, also known as Danny Strong. And for a political movie, I liked it.

The Flying Scotsman – great movie. Tells the story of cyclist Graeme Obree, and his determination. His attitude of Just do it.

Grace is Gone – Good movie. Don’t really have anything else to say about it right now.

The Reckoning – I really liked parts of this, but sometimes I felt kinda bored. But that might be due to being sick.

Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day – oh, what a difference a day can make. I think Lee Pace was great in this.

Angels Fall – it kept me entertained.

Josie and the Pussycats – I like a funny movie, with lots of irony to it.

I also managed to watch the first season of Fame. I’ve only seen it as a kid, so it’s quite fun to now watch it as an adult. And such awful clothes, and hair-dos. And finally, I’ve watched tons of Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps. Series 1-7, and all the extra material. Now I need to get series 8, haven’t seen that yet. A few clips for you. First one with Donna and Gaz, then Jonny and Janet, and then a bit of Louise. And then end it with something from the musical episode. Enjoy!

Ok, so I might have a bit overboard with the Two Pints of Lager clips. Anyway, I would love to hear what you think of the movies and such.

Hej Hej,
